Post Office, Springfield, MO - Federal increased revenue by paying them! As incredible as it sounds, not only were they not receiving revenue for their recyclable material, they were paying for the removal of it through their previous waste hauler. USPS' undeliverable bulk mail (UBM) is not easily marketed due to the vast grades and "contaminants" involved. With some simple instruction and direction, the UBM was taken out of the waste stream and put into the revenue stream. Instead of paying to have their recyclables removed, the facility now generates $20,000 per year in recycling revenue.
